Sun come back!

It's Wednesday night and I just realized that I will be embarking on my first trip outside of Rome starting tomorrow evening! For those of you who don't know, I'll be in Venice for the weekend during the "Carnival" event. Apparently this event is huge. I'll be sure to take pictures while I'm there. Sorry I probably won't be blogging this weekend since I won't be taking my laptop along for the ride. I'll be back on Sunday though with much to type about, I'm sure. Unfortunately my roommate that just came back from Barcelona unfortunately was pick pocketed. Hopefully I won't have to go through that agony on my first trip.

As far as how today went, it started of warm! AMAZING right?! I couldn't even believe that just one jacket would suffice. Then later on it rained, but whatever because it was awesome feeling the warmth of the sun even for a bit. I had a fun night out at a karaoke bar and sun was just what I needed to see the next day. Thankfully, I was able to bath in the sun while drawing at capital hill. Drawing by yourself is kind of nerve wrecking when people ask to see what you're working on. I never really draw with pencil so I was a little embarrassed to show them. Thankfully they were all supportive! I did also manage to take a few shots while I was waiting for a classmate that was meeting up with me. Thank you auto timer!:

After drawing, I had to depart for another on-site class at this old church called Basilica di S. Sabrina. It was fairly small compared to a lot of other things and wasn't one of my favorite places I had seen. Surprisingly the garden next to it was one of the nicest spots I had come across. It was like a walled off park that was filled beautiful orange trees and led to a ledge that overlooked the entire city. I was just standing there and thinking that this spot would be the ideal picnic spot on a sunny day. There were also these cute little green birds that were just hopping around. They were a shade of yellow green and had turquoise ends on their feathers. They made my day =]

Even walking to this spot was cool . Everything was lush and green. I felt that with every step, I could have slipped from how green everything was. It was like a secret garden almost. Totally different from the rest of the city I might add.

Now the rest of my day was rainy, cold, and filled with getting lost. Nonetheless, I made it back to my apartment and had  a nice dinner to eat away my coldness. I was just hoping for a good slice of chocolate cake though.... MmMmMm!!! Too bad I was too over the cold to go out and find some. I also think I might be getting sick.. That's totally a big no-no with the Play rehearsals being every Tuesday and Thursday nights. I think I'll head out on that note and rest my throat. That's what I get for singing at the top of my lungs last night. lol!
